Nick Thompson has been with Thompson Homes since 2007. He first served as the Vice President of Operations until being named President in 2012. Home building is in Nick’s blood, as he is now the third generation- following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps. As a child, he spent many Sundays at the office with his dad, and high school summer days working with the framing and concrete crews. Born and raised in Owensboro, KY, Nick attended Daviess County High School and graduated in 1997. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Management at the University of Kentucky where he met his wife, Jenifer. After graduating he moved out west to Denver, CO to pursue a career with Centex Homes, a national publicly-held homebuilding company. Nick spent the next 4 years with Centex working in their Land Development and Construction departments before moving home with his wife to join the family business.
At the forefront of the company, Nick is passionate about the fundamentals of homebuilding and oversees strategic initiatives, which include designing new products, defining the corporate brand, exploring new markets and creating a strong and meaningful company culture. With an emphasis on agile decision making, Nick is continuing to strengthen the talented team designed to deliver unparalleled quality and a memorable customer experience.
Currently, Nick remains very active in the local community. He served as President of the Owensboro Homebuilders Association in 2012 and is currently a Board Member. He also serves as an Area Vice President for the Home Builders Association of Kentucky and is an active Board Member of Junior Achievement of Western Kentucky. He enjoys volunteering in many of the local school classrooms, teaching young kids about work readiness and financial literacy. In 2011 Nick was recognized as one of the top “40 Under 40” homebuilding professionals in the country by Professional Builder magazine and represented the industry’s next generation of leadership.
Nick and Jenifer have a daughter, Kennedy Marie. In 2013 they proudly served as the local ambassador family for the March of Dimes. As a family they love to travel, lead a healthy, active lifestyle, and cheer on their beloved Kentucky Wildcats!
For the last 6 years, Caleb Brackin has proudly served the Owensboro community through a Hospitality/Customer Service role, and continues to add value to the Owensboro housing market in his role as New Home Sales Consultant.
Outside of the office, Caleb enjoys woodworking, home construction and design, spending time with his family, church, and volunteering in the community.
Along with experience owning and managing over 10 rentals in Pittsburgh, PA and Charlotte, NC, Bridgett Larsen has worked in new home sales for 8 years. She joins Thompson Homes as an Online Sales Consultant.
A native of Owensboro, Bridgett is thrilled to have returned home after 22 years. Bridgett says that her greatest achievement is her family and her faith.
Before coming to work for Thompson Homes, Hunter worked for CH Heating and Air in Mayfield, KY, as an installer and technician. Currently, he is responsible for scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of work. He also handles inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
In his his free time, Hunter likes to play sports, fish with his son, and play with his daughter. He has checked skydiving off his bucket list, and looks forward to traveling to Europe with his wife someday.
“My greatest achievement is the first time I completed a house for a past customer, and the look of excitement on their faces when I turned their house over to them. It makes you feel good when you create memories for someone else.”
Jared Dunn has dynamic work experience, having worked as both a high school chemistry teacher and the store manager of Shelby’s Wheel and Tire. At Thompson Homes, he schedules and supervises the subcontractors at each worksite, ensuring that the installed products match what the customer selected, and that the quality of all work performed meets Thompson Homes standards. He also takes homeowners on the orientation of their new homes, and keeps each jobsite clean and presentable.
Jared’s hobbies include Tennessee Titans football, golfing, and going to concerts and movies. “My greatest accomplishment would have to be remaining happily married for 14 years and counting.”
Darrell has over 20 years of experience in the building industry, having worked as a subcontractor and building contractor. He has built commercial and industrial buildings, as well as residential projects. Trustworthy and meticulous, Darrell is currently the senior construction superintendent here at Thompson Homes, overseeing jobs, managing subcontractors, and making sure everything goes according to plan.
Darrell loves to spend time with his family. (He has two beautiful daughters.) He also loves to travel, and says he would love to tour Europe and see the Grand Canyon.
For 24 years, Pamela Douglas has been a valued member of our Thompson Homes team. As Controller, Secretary-Treasurer, Pamela oversees the office, manages the accounting staff, and is responsible for financials, tax returns, payroll, banking, and insurance. Pamela also manages warranty, which she says is one of her favorite jobs because of how much she enjoys working with and helping customers.
When she’s not in the office or spending time with her beautiful kids and grandkids, Pamela enjoys antique shopping, traveling, and watching UK basketball with her best friend and husband, Glen. Pamela also has three puppies, Max, Lexi, and Jaxx.
Nick really enjoys being the Purchasing and Estimating Manager at Thompson Homes. “I love to look at the big picture and brainstorm how to make something better.” He works with vendors and trade partners on pricing, and is responsible for the budget of each individual home. He also works with Nick Thompson on plan management, value engineering, and “big picture” company policy, processes, and operations.
“My favorite part of my job is working with our vendors and trade partners to learn more about their individual roles, and making efforts to improve both the relationship and the process of building a home.“
Prior to coming to Thompson Homes, Nick spent 13 years working for a construction and industrial supply company. In that time, he was a branch manager, an outside sales rep, and an operations manager for multiple locations in Indiana and Illinois.
Outside of work, he spends of great deal of time with his family. In moments that aren’t spent with family, “I enjoy reading, fishing and landscaping.”
As the New Home Consultant at Thompson Homes, Andy is a homebuyer’s point of contact, acting to make the home buying/building experience a seamless process that is enjoyable. He is responsible for catering to our buyers’ wants and needs, taking the plans, houses and options, and making them a HOME for our buyers.
“This sounds cliché but I do enjoy assisting people build their new home,” says Andy. “It is awesome to drive past communities and know that I helped both find families a home and expand and grow a city!”
He loves being able to show potential buyers that owning a brand new Thompson Home is a true reality. And as the face of Thompson Homes in the Indiana market, Andy establishes relationships not only with the Realtors, but with the communities in which Thompson Homes build and serve.
After attending Western Kentucky University, where he studied Graphic Design, Andy moved to Evansville and met his wife, Jenni. They’ve been married for seven years and have two children.
He is also a HUGE Red Sox fan. “I have been to Fenway multiple times – including the opening series ring ceremony for the 2007 Championship thanks to an amazing surprise from my wife!”
As the Design Coordinator at Thompson Homes, Jenifer assists new customers with their interior and exterior selections once their house plans have been finalized. She also works closely with the estimator to account for all selections and any special requests the customer may have. “I love meeting our customers and watching their home come to life!”
A graduate of the University of Kentucky (where she met her husband, Nick, the president of Thompson Homes), Jenifer is a passionate fitness guru, and has been an instructor and certified personal trainer for almost 15 years.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Jenifer enjoys spending time with extended family and close friends. “As a family we love to travel and explore the outdoors,” she says. “And cheer on our Kentucky Wildcats!”
As the Design Center Coordinator for Thompson Homes’ Indiana division, Jenna works in our Selections Department and assists customers in the design process. She really enjoys helping our customers’ visions come to life. In addition to her work here at Thompson Homes, Jenna has been a teacher for 14 years, and currently teaches middle school language arts.
Jenna’s interests are varied and many! “I have always enjoyed interior design, painting, cooking, and reading. I am an avid music lover, and cheer for the Hoosiers. And I spend as much of my time with my husband, Nick, and our three kids as our schedules allow!”
Dan Harrison has been a superintendent for over 25 years, working for four different companies handling residential, commercial and industrial construction. Here at Thompson Homes, he oversees all jobs, managing the subcontractors, and making sure homes are built in a timely and quality manner.
Dan’s hobbies include boating, swimming, and just enjoying life with friends and family.
As he says, “I have pretty much already done anything that I’ve ever had on a bucket list. As far as my greatest accomplishment, well, I would guess I would have to say just living as long as I have in good health and spirits.”
Travis joins our team with a great deal of experience in Sales, Recruitment, and Management. As a New Home Sales Consultant, he loves helping families by making the process of building their new home run smoothly and exciting! His favorite part, “the smiles I see the day a family walks into their new home.”
Outside of the office Travis loves to relax with reading, shopping and spending time at the beach. An adventure lover too, he also loves camping, hiking, and traveling. Top 2 things on his bucket list are traveling to London and to visit the entire United States.
His greatest personal achievement is his lovely family, and being able to adopt children in the foster care system.
A family man and UK basketball fan, Eric joined our team with over 10 years of retail management experience and several years as a Florida Residential Appraiser. When he’s not working on creative projects around the house, he prefers to spend his free-time relaxing on the beach with his wife and son. Eric is a true creative, always thinking outside of the box and wanting to looking for ways to improve things. His greatest accomplishment, being a father to his son Sebastian, “it’s incredible how I can teach him about life and at the the same time he helps me remember what I’ve forgotten about life.” In addition to riding in a NASCAR, his bucket list includes conquering his fear of roller coasters and having lunch with a self-made billionaire.
